Anyone who still thinks potheads aren’t contributing members of society likely haven’t paid attention to what cannabis dispensaries have done this holiday season.
Los Angeles dispensary Kush Valley Collective is throwing a holiday toy drive this weekend. Cypress Hill’s B-Real will host the event, and will also perform under his alter-ego, Dr. Greenthumb.
With more notable performances from local emcees Luckyiam and Supernatural, KVC aims to provide holiday cheer for stoned hip-hop heads as well as the less fortunate children of LA.
This event comes shortly after two San Francisco pot shops joined forces to hold a gun buyback, effectively taking those weapons off Bay Area streets for good.
Not to be outdone, Arizona dispensary Mohave Green is donating a total of $30,000 divided among twelve nonprofit organizations throughout the month. Recipients so far have included Tri-State Military Moms, Hospice of Havasu, and the Fort Mohave Mesa Fire Department’s annual holiday toy drive.
Kush Valley Collective’s holiday party is free to all California residents with a valid medical marijuana recommendation this Saturday, December 20. For more information, visitMedicineandMusic.org.
