Last year Playboy announced it would stop posting nude images of models in its print issues. My first reaction was "people still look at Playboy?" But after they dropped their first non-nude issue cover, I began to understand the idea. The new generation of 18 year old males have grown up with the internet their entire lives, and such were probably exposed to naked women pretty much that entire time. The Snapchat style cover is to shed their grandpa image and embrace a new crop of twenty somethings who aren't as into objectifying women as years past. Will this new recipe spell success for the brand? No, magazines won't be around much longer and you can't keep up with the real-time videos of Snapchat and Instagram. The Playboy brand will be fine, but sadly I believe its bread and butter the print publication will die very soon.

Have we gone full circle? Hoping to get a peek at some crack?
