Niwa is the world’s first smartphone-controlled growing system, enabling our generation to grow our own food and plants. Most of our readers are city dwellers just as we are. This means that we are rarely able to grow much past our windowsills, granted you get good light and have a green thumb. With Niwa, you can grow fruit, vegetables, flowers and even herbs in a compact, controlled setting. Yes, this includes herbal medicine. What’s more: you grow your HERB with your smartphone. All you need is the hardware and the app, and you’re ready to harvest some DANK minus the babysitting.
Currently, Niwa is running a campaign on Kickstarter to raise $100,000 and has already raised over $42,000. The system will come in two different sizes. It’ll run you just $199 for a mini version and $399 for a standard version.
As an early backer you can receive your system and start growing by January 2015. Take a look at their Kickstarter for complete technical specs and back this project!
