Name: Lemon Skunk
Type: Hybrid (sativa dominant)
Genetics: Skunk x Skunk
Lemon Skunk is a sativa dominant hybrid (60/40). The original mother plant was kept in Las Vegas for over 20 years before it was crossed with another carefully chosen skunk strain from Holland. Twenty years to find a mate, those are some picky parents. Both skunk strains posess a lemon citrus taste and smell. The two skunk strains made for a great partnership that created this much awarded strain.
Looks and Smell
This is another one of those strains where the smell hits you right away with heavy citrus aromas that also have a background sweetness to them. Imagine a skunky lemon candy, and you're in the ballpark. The buds themselves are usually large, covered in crystals, lime green with a fair amount of amber hairs.
Being a sativa dominant strain, I would recomend this flower for daytime use. A perfect strain for those who enjoy sweeter, fruity buds. Potent, but not too potent. The THC content is usually between 16%-18%, right in the wheelhouse for a good daytime smoke. Also, as the name implies, citrus flavors are the star of this show.
If you happen to come across this strain, don't sleep! I know at least in our area any dispensaries that happen to get some of this fine bud in stock sell out quickly, to say the least. Overall a quality smoke that gives one a predominant sativa effect, but the indica side will also have you raiding the refrigerator in no time.
