Randall Raymond Fieck Jr. appeared in a Michigan court last week to enter a guilty plea for cultivating more than twelve cannabis plants – all because his 6-year-old daughter went to school smelling of WEED.
How does this happen? When Fiek’s daughter went to school at Woodland Elementary, school officials claimed she reeked of MARIJUANA. Though the State of Michigan has legalized medical marijuana, according to the police document, the daughter had told her principal that her dad “was growing marijuana plants in the basement of their residence and that she was not supposed to tell anyone.”
Kingsford Public Safety Sergeant Joseph Menghini then went to their residence to investigate whether or not this little girl was telling the truth, and Fieck let on he was a medical marijuana caregiver card holder. With that card, he could grow up to 12 plants, but the odor coming from the residence suggested there had to be an arsenal of weed in there.
A search warrant was obtained, and over 200 cannabis plants and 60 starters were found inside of Fieck’s home. The entire haul was well over the amount legally allowed in a medical marijuana patient’s home.
All because of this bizarre situation, Fieck can end up serving 20 years in prison, but we will not know the exact sentence until his sentencing date in March of 2015.
