Upon meeting the Dr. Dabber team in Denver, CO at the Big Industry Galleria show in April, we were more than stoked to get our hands on this product. There were great people all around who were more than happy to give us in-depth, hands-on details that made our brains drool for more.
Dr. Dabber was kind enough to ship one out to us, and we couldn't be more pleased that they did. After opening a very creatively packaged and boxed pen, I found the Dr. Dabber Ghost is a very sophisticated-looking unit that packs a punch in a very smooth way. It hardly takes a draw or pull to get your ample flow of the dro. I will go as far as to say I was surprised by the smoke I blew out and the effect the hit had, given the effort that was given. Easy and effortless. Check it out!
The coil and bowl construction on the Dr. Dabber Ghost are paramount to the pen's functionality: A nice broad coil-wrapped wick that spans the diameter of the bowl, as well as a uniquely shaped bowl that allows for not only maximum smokability of your preferred medium, but also allows for easy access in cleaning.
Note: You can see a slightly raised circle at the center of the bowl, under the wick and coil. Product in other vape pens becomes trapped here, not vaping at all. This raised circle platform under the coil of your new Dr. Dabber Ghost Pen raises that product up to a useable level for the coil to heat.
Grab your handy new Dr. Dabber tool, and let's load up! The way the bowl is constructed (in the heating chamber) allows for large amounts to be loaded at a time. The perfect heat to the coil and its placement allow for you to smoke longer sessions off one bowl (dose, pack). Exactly what I was looking for in a pen!
You can get it in there! Trust me, all of it. A word to the wise is to run that outer edge clean with your new Dr. Dabber tool in between packs. Simple, easy tip just to keep your threads clean between connecting pieces. Yeah, that little tool comes in handy!
Upon dry firing you can see ample smoke come through a low heat device. Plus sides to ample smoke, low heat? Longer battery life, longer sessions, fewer packs, less product used, more money in your pocket, and staying high longer.
This dry fire method is also quite the cleaning method. In conjunction with other steps, you can get this baby back to new when it's that time, which is more than most pens can say when it comes time to clean.
The time did come for us to clean the pen. (Trust me, we put it through its pases and then some...) With 5 minutes and my Dr. Dabber tool, I was able to bring it back to its original ceramic white! Be carful when cleaning around the coil, you don't want to disconnect anything. I know you're no dummy, but I gotta say it.
Last but not least, don't forget to reclaim your stored up goodness! Your chamber connector usually builds up with some tasty residue that is sure to still pack some power. Also this will keep your threads cleaner longer, allowing a no-stick connection between the heating chamber.
