Whats up guys. Just wanted to drop ya'll a line n let you know about my new dabbing skillet. (curve, swing). I recently started hitting the dab side of things and wanted something inexpensive and easy to use. The skillet design offers, in my humble opinion, the most cost effective way to smoke concentrates. A 50.00$ slip fit purchase to my bong i use for flower. NOTE: I would recomend that a smaller piece (bong, pipe) is used. A larger area (chamber) to fill makes for a much longer hit. Thus the smoke from the concentrates seems to get stale faster then your flower smoke. But! there are some ways around this I have found. By initially sucking in very slowly, you can gather the smoke more effectivly and still have enough in your lungs for a final clear. I know guys, our lung take a beating. But here it is, check it out, hope you like the step by step. dont burn yourselfs, this shit is hot!!!
This is position one. The wire mechanism alows for a swinging action to take place. The swing alows for the heated plate to come into place under the glass. Position one is also where one would heat the metal plate from. The plate or (skillet) is attached at one the end of the wire.
Note the wire wrap job here. This alows for the swing to occur. Totaly Awesome craftmanship.
This is position two. This is what it should look like when your ready to go (if it was glowing). The dab will melt and spatter and the smoke will rise with a gentle pull from your lungs.
Check out the close proximity between the metal and the glass. This allows for good capture of smoke and proper air flow.
And now the fun begins, when that sucker gets red hot and your ready to rip. A friendly tip would be to make sure there is nothing in range of the heat from your torch. The invisible heat is more than you think and does travel a distance. I torched my Jamba Juice playing around with this bad boy.
Ok so this step can be taken before or after your hot and ready. This kinda depends on what your working with. I had some Urkle Wax from Playbud Deliveries, and oh man did it make all of this alot of fun!
Keep Calm And Don't Drop The Wax. This is probably the one drawback to this design. The curvature in the design obstructs your line of sight here so dont freak out. It kinda feels cool when you get it down. But when you place it down on the skillet (enter from the side), give it a moment to heat up the wax(oil) and then slowly start to pull.
Oh baby were burnning! Ok so here I want to note the angle of the dab tool. 45 degrees. This will allow for all the dab to be taken/smoked off the tool. Now, if your hitting it slow, like I told ya, ha, you shouldn't be getting smokey just yet. Just filling your chamber (and again the smaller DAB pieces that are blown specificly for dabbing do not have this problem. This review is kinda geared towards those dabbing on a budget or just want to try it without spending $100.00).
OH boy ! ok so the smoke is now coating your lungs and brain in a foggy bliss. Just keep that tool twirling in its 45 position until the smoke is gone from the bong. ALSO again , once the metal is no longer red or melting your consentrate, it is still hot enough to burn you. I want you to read that twice because I've done it a hand full of times now.
And enjoy. THANKS. Chewy Chewy dub sac
